Ernesto was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, and his family will deeply miss him. In his youth, he was known for being an amateur boxer and was recruited to the minor leagues with the Yankees. After settling In NYC, he became a foreman in the construction field, raised his kids as a superintendent, and owned a truck driving business. Later, he moved back to Puerto Rico and owned a taxi tourism business. His grandchildren were his pride and joy, and he loved to play dominos with his family and friends. Later in life, he joined the Mita Congregation and attended religiously. He moved back to NYC for the last eight years of his life. He was buried in Puerto Rico, surrounded by love in person and in spirit. Ernesto reunited with his parents, siblings, and his dearest sister, Aurora. If you'd like to send a gift in his honor, the family asks that donations be made to the American Heart Association. He had some complications with his heart, and that's why we chose this organization. https://www.heart.org/en/get-involved/ways-to-give
